DO YOU OFFER FREE EVALUATION SERVICES FOR ALL PROJECTS?
Yes, we understand that the digital marketing world moves very fast and unless you are in that business it’s hard to keep up with it. That’s why we want to talk to you (FREE of charge) about any project that you are considering. We feel it’s important to help you understand which options are right for your business. Contact us to discuss any projects that you may be considering. Whether you work with Blue Fin Digital or another firm, we want to help you understand what’s best for you.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO HAVE A WEBSITE DEVELOPED?
Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this question because every website is different. But, what we can do is offer a FREE, No Obligation evaluation of the project based on your goals and criteria. We can even offer cost saving options for the project that you may not be aware of.
CAN YOU UPDATE MY EXISTING WEBSITE?
Absolutely! In fact we do this for customers everyday. However depending on the age of the site the code and appearance may not be optimal for todays search engine standards and therefore could affect how well your site would rank. We would simply need to do a FREE evaluation of the website in order to present you with the best options.
I have some old marketing material that I need updated. Can you do that?
Absolutely, if you have any of the original design files we may be able to utilize them (depending on age). If not we should be able to reproduce the artwork so that we can update it as well as you having it going forward.
If you design something for me, can I use a printing company of my choice?
Absolutely, however we do discourage the use of outside printers unless you are already familiar with their print quality. The quality of printed materials varies from printer to printer and we work with the best printers in the industry to insure quality with every job. Selecting your printer is “at your own risk” but our graphic files would be “print ready” for any printer.
WHAT ABOUT IF I DON’T LIKE THE DESIGN THAT WAS CREATED?
Not a problem. We want you to be happy. We always work very hard to understand your thoughts and dreams and then bring them to life but if we miss the mark, we’ll keep trying.
I WANT A LOGO BUT NOT SURE WHAT I WANT. CAN YOU HELP?
Not a problem. Our designers can work with you in order to understand your goals and thoughts in order to bring them to life in a logo. We have done this with many other customers and will product multiple mock-ups based on those discussions. Then we will continually refine them into one final logo that you dreamed of.
What's the difference between digital and press printing?
Press printing is the most commonly trusted, high-volume commercial printing technology. It offers higher image quality, works on a wide range of surfaces, and cost generally goes down as quantity goes up. Digital printing has come a long way over the years, offering better quality and more options than in the past. Eliminating many of the mechanical steps required for conventional printing, digital printing offers short turnaround times on low quantities. There are pros and cons to both types of printing, but we can help guide you on which is best for your project.
Do you offer printing services for your designed materials?
Yes, we have a full range of printing services & options. Our vast network of partners can offer the latest techniques and high quality prints at the best prices around. We can also handle small quantities as well as large production runs.
WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Personal or company checks are the preferred choice of payment however both cash and credit cards can be accepted.
WHO OWNS THE MATERIAL THAT IS CREATED FOR ME?
Blue Fin Digital retains ownership of all created material, including websites, ecommerce stores, mock-ups, graphic design etc. until final payment is made for that work. At that time, ownership is passed to the individual, company, etc that the work was created for.
DO I HAVE TO PAY UPFRONT FOR THE WORK?
Typically on larger projects (website design, ecommerce development, printing, etc.) we do require a 50% deposit to start the project and then 50% upon completion. However, on smaller projects the balance is due upon completion.
WILL I GET UPDATES ON MY PROJECT WHILE IT’S BEING DEVELOPED?
Yes, we believe that communication is the key to a great partnership. Therefore, we continually communicate with our customers throughout the entire process to keep you informed of how its going but if ever you want an update before then, just give us a call at (803) 372-8831.
WHAT ARE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (CMS) AND DO I NEED ONE?
Content Management Systems are websites that offer administration control panel that allows you the ability to manage your website’s content. This powerful tool allows the admin to change things on your site like images, phone numbers, page copy, etc. It’s a great option for those site owners that want to be able to manage their own website.
MY CURRENT WEBSITE DOESN’T RANK WELL IN GOOGLE. CAN YOU HELP WITH THAT?
Absolutely! Our Search Engine Optimization services do just that. We evaluate your site to determine why it isn’t ranking and then establish an action plan in order to get you ranking!
There are a lot of different factors that determine the rank of a website in Google as well as Bing and Yahoo. And although these search engines won’t tell you exactly what their algorithm is for determining the rank, the industry has a very good understanding of what has to be done in order to rank well. WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOR YOU TO GET STARTED?
Again that really depends on the project but the very basics are your general business and contact information. If you have other marketing information, pictures, brochures, etc. we would want to get copies of that as well. The scope of our services can supplement as much or as little information about your business and industry in order to ensure that you have a professional website, brochure, business cards, etc. that achieves your business goals.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS AFTER WE AGREE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH BUILDING A WEBSITE?
Once a project is agreed upon, step one is to develop a project scope. This ensures that our ideas and your goals are aligned and that everyone is expecting the same outcome. After that we will develop graphic design of what the front page and underlying pages will look like and present them back to you. Once that is approved, we start actually building the site. Depending on the complexity of the website, we would have a working model within a couple of weeks. We would then review the site with you to ensure your goals are met, make any final revisions and then launch it to the world.
